(how to set up a table for) all occasions !
One of the items I love collecting are serving dishes, they hold a place in my heart… maybe because I love to host gatherings.
Thrift shops have some of the best ones but you always have to be on a lookout.
For this November gatherings, I want to share with you 3 ways to display a perfectly beautiful set table. It is all about functionality and not braking the bank.
Here are some key elements on designing your table:
-Theme: Choose a color palette. Most importantly look at what you have and use it! Think outside the box! You always see the muted organic color palettes during this month but don’t be like everyone and do something fun!
-Decor: What will you place in the middle of your table? Will it be candles, flowers or potted greenery? How about those pumpkins you carved and are slowly dying. You can always give them a 2nd life and use these by covering your scary carvings with flowers. Also candles will give your table a romantic feel. Remember if you have a mirrors use them they will help your table have that sparkle.
-Personalize: Make it personal! So many times I go to parties and or gatherings and it feels more like a super bowl potluck that anything else. During these 2 months bring out those dishes and set the table, make your guest feel fancy (this is the time to do so). A nice little keepsake would be something they will use or eat.. remember to personalize it. Personalizing a place card, cookie, glass, or even a bottle of wine.
